Professor Charlie Teo - Connectomics -Webinar February 2026

Professor Charlie Teo, world-renowned, and highly respected Australian neurosurgeon, speaking on:

'Connectomics:   A paradigm shift in the diagnosis and management of all brain disorders.'

As neuroscientists, we were all guilty of accepting the dogma of brain anatomy as described initially by Brodmann in 1909. Why we were so happy to accept a theory that was more than 100 years old without questioning its validity, escapes me.

The Human Connectome Project, published in Nature in 2016, completely changed the way we thought about the human brain. The concept of the brain being either eloquent or non-eloquent should be discarded. The concept of the brain being divided into higher cognitive networks and primitive networks is the foundation by which we should now approach all brain disorders.

At Cingulum Health we have utilised AI and ML-generated software, that gives patient-specific and accurate functional maps of the brain, to personalise interventions from surgery to trans-cranial magnetic stimulation.
